My BOOK OF THE MONTH for March 2017 is Sister Sister by the uber talented Sue Fortin.
I certainly have one of the best jobs in the world, not only do I write books for a living but I get to read and review some of the most fantastic books ever written for my magazine column in Mama Life Magazine.
When I first saw Sister Sister I bumped it right to the top of my to read pile! This book does exactly what it says on the cover … A truly gripping psychological thriller.
Where do I start? I think WOW is a good starting point! What a smasher of a book!
We have drama, secrets, intrigue and more twists and turns than a broken satnav!
The character Clare narrates the whole story. Her and her sister Alice separated when they were children. Their father takes Alice on holiday and never comes back. For twenty years Clare and her mum try to track Alice down without much luck until one day they receive a letter out of the blue. When they are reunited all is not what it seems.
Clare thinks Alice is a manipulative liar who is trying to steal her life. Alice thinks Clare is jealous of her long-lost return and place in their family.
Sue Fortin cleverly builds up the layers of tension to reach an ultimate climax that you least expect. A truly gripping read.
